About this factor
Publisher's description
This data set has been modeled according to the European Standard EN 15804+A2 for Sustainable Building. Results are depicted in modules that allow the structured expression of results over the entire life cycle.
Included processes
Through the so-called transesterification, the physical properties of rapeseed oil are adapted to the requirements of the diesel engine. The triglyceride is replaced by methanol by adding methanol to the refined rapeseed oil. With continuous processing, the resulting glycerine is gradually separated from the RME (rapeseed oil fatty acid methyl ester = vegetable oil fuel) and specifically processed.
Applicability
Rapeseed methyl ester can be used as an energy source instead of diesel or light fuel oil.
