Overview

DAPconstrucción (DAPcons) is the EPD programme for construction products of Cateb, the Col·legi de l'Arquitectura Tècnica de Barcelona. Manufacturers, most of them in Spain, publish third-party verified EPDs under its rules: ceramic tiles, insulation, mortars, concrete, glass, steel and floor coverings. The programme's site is dapcons.com.

Its digital datasets are published in the ILCD+EPD format on the soda4LCA node soda.dapcons.com, the same format and interface ÖKOBAUDAT uses.

Methodology

How this works
  • Values are global warming potential per declared unit (per kg, t, m³, m², m or piece), reported per life cycle module: A1-A3 product stage, A4-A5 construction, B1-B7 use, C1-C4 end of life, and D, benefits beyond the system boundary.
  • Every loaded dataset follows EN 15804+A2 with the EF 3.0 characterisation, and the served number is GWP-fossil, with the total, biogenic and land use parts kept beside it.
  • No breakdown by gas is published, so the values cannot be restated in AR6.
  • Each EPD gets one total over the modules it declares, built the same way as for ÖKOBAUDAT: cradle to gate for A1-A3, cradle to grave when every A to C module is declared. Where the EPD prints A1, A2 and A3 without their sum, the cradle to gate total is their sum; where it prints the sum, the parts are linked under it. Module D is shown beside the total, never added to it.
  • The reference year is the dataset's own reference year.
  • Every dataset is product or manufacturer specific.

Mixed: the EPD's declared ILCD reference year, which is a data year on Kiwa-EE and most often the year the EPD was published on the other nodes. An EPD that states none is dated off its own publication or entry date.

What we import

  • The node as harvested on 2026-10-02: 110 of the 234 datasets it lists, one factor per module.
  • The declaration owner is shown as the supplier.
  • Each dataset is placed in an open-climate.ai category read from its product name.
  • Values declared per tonne are served per tonne; values declared per another amount are converted to the declared unit.
  • 13 loaded datasets point at the SwiftEPD licence conditions. They are held under the same restriction as the rest of the library.
  • Not imported: the 80 datasets also registered with the International EPD System, whose terms require deletion of the data when they end; datasets that list their modules but publish no value on the node (42); datasets with no GWP result (2); and the EN 15804 indicators other than GWP.
  • Names are as published: 65 datasets carry a Spanish and an English name, 45 a Spanish name only, shown in our English translation, marked as translated.

Restricted. Cateb's legal notice states that "los contenidos solo podrán ser utilizados con fines personales, quedando expresamente prohibido el uso con fines comerciales o lucrativos" (the content may be used for personal purposes only; commercial use is prohibited, section 5.2), and that reproduction, transformation and distribution need Cateb's written authorisation (section 6.1). Whether holding the values for your own footprint counts as personal use is unclear; sharing, embedding and modifying them need Cateb's agreement, which we have not yet obtained. Until then the values are not shown on the public site. Attribution: "DAPconstrucción (Cateb), EPD data from https://soda.dapcons.com". Last verified 2026-10-02.

Limitations

  • The node's server answered intermittently during the harvest; the datasets it failed to serve were fetched again, so the import covers every dataset it lists.
  • Some datasets are tagged with a language they are not written in, so a Spanish name may be tagged English.
