One footprint, in every year's money
OpenIO-Canada priced this supply chain in 2022 CAD. For every other year we restate the same emissions with the Yukon price index, so money you spent in 2015 is read at 2015 prices. Pick the year of your spend.
- Published by OpenIO-Canada, 2022 CAD
- Re-priced with the Yukon price indexRe-priced, not re-measuredSame emissions per real unit of spend, expressed in that year's CAD. Money spent in 2015 bought 1.25 times what the same sum buys in 2022, so it carries 1.25 times the emissions: 0.152 × 1.25 ≈ 0.191.The figure under each year is that multiplier, with 2022 = 1. Which price, and which warming horizon
Match the price to your invoice, and keep one warming horizon across your whole inventory.
Purchaser price or producer price
The purchaser price is what you paid: the producer's price plus the wholesale and retail margins and the transport to the shop. OpenIO-Canada publishes purchaser prices, what you paid.
Warming horizon and characterisation model
This factor is published for one set only: Impact world plus 2 1, AR6, 100 years. Every other horizon and model: not published.

What it is
Provision of fixed Internet access and transport services by a telecommunications service provider to a provider of fixed retail Internet access services. Provision of fixed connections to the Internet to end users at download speeds not exceeding 64 Kbps. Dial-up Internet access is one of the oldest forms of Internet access technology. It is also referred to as low or narrowband speed Internet access. Narrowband is generally regarded as a category including any connection with a transmission or download speed of up to 1.5 Mbps. Provision of fixed connections to the Internet to residential end users at download speeds generally greater than 256 Kbps. High-speed Internet is also referred to as broadband Internet, with fixed line types such as cable, digital subscriber line (DSL), terrestrial wireless access, direct-to-home satellite access, and fibre optic services. Even though the lowest speed limit for high-speed Internet is set to 256 Kbps in several countries, broadband is generally regarded as a category including any connection with a transmission or download speed of 1.5 Mbps or greater. Connection with download speed from 256 Kbps up to 1.5 Mbps is sometimes referred to as "wideband" or "lite broadband". Provision of fixed connections to the Internet to non-residential or business end users at download speeds greater than 256 Kbps. What it includes
