Open data terms

These terms cover the open data files you download from open-climate.ai. They sit on top of each publisher's own licence, they do not replace it.
1. The publisher's licence governs the data
The publisher's data in these files stays under the publisher's licence, named on each file's references sheet. Nothing here limits what that licence allows you to do with it.
2. What we add is CC BY 4.0
What open-climate.ai adds, meaning the normalisation, the translated labels, the checks and the structure, is licensed under CC BY 4.0, and under CC BY-SA 4.0 for share-alike libraries.
3. Credit us where you publish
When you publish results or data from these files on a website, credit open-climate.ai with a working link to the library's page, as in the file's credit line. In print or in a product, credit it in the same place as the publisher.
4. Neither credit is an endorsement
Neither credit may suggest that the publisher or open-climate.ai endorses you, your organisation or your work.
5. This is not legal advice
These terms are a plain summary, not legal advice. Where they and the publisher's terms disagree, the publisher's terms prevail.
What your account records
Your account records which version of these terms you accepted and when. A new version asks again, and it changes nothing about a download already taken.
