Concrete is produced by mixing cement, coarse and fine aggregate and water, with or without the addition of admixtures, additions or fibres. The fresh concrete is placed in formwork, compacted and hardens through hydration of the cement into a solid artificial stone.

The dosed aggregates are first premixed dry with cement as a binding agent and other additives. The mixture is then mixed with water to form a plastically deformable fresh concrete. This is transported to the construction site in truck mixers without storage, where it is placed in the prepared formwork (usually with reinforcement) and compacted. To ensure the quality of the concrete, a quality assurance system is installed at the Frankfurt plant, which is based on the requirements for in-house production control in BS 8500 and DIN 1045-2.

Concrete is a versatile building material in the construction industry. It is used in building construction, above all for ceilings, walls, stairs, foundations, columns and trusses, in civil engineering for components in contact with the ground, foundations, floor slabs, bored piles and in civil engineering, e.g. for bridges.
