Each gas is converted to CO₂e with AR6 100-year warming potentials; biogenic CO₂ and land-use carbon are left out, while methane from biogenic sources is counted.

About this factor
From ProBas
Translated from GermanThe modelling of the environmental profile “Glass wool” comprises the inputs and emissions of the production of an insulation mat made of glass wool with a density of 40 kg/m³. The provision of raw material, transports, melting, forming and collecting of the glass fibres, curing and further internal processes were taken into account. The energy for the melting process is provided mainly by electricity and natural gas. The cullet share in the raw glass is approximately 65 %
