Gases
Boverket publishes this factor as CO₂e only, with no split by gas. The CO₂e leaves biogenic CO₂ and land-use carbon out; methane from biogenic sources is counted.
From Boverket's record to a comparable factor
Boverket publishes the three parts; open-climate.ai added them up to this total. Here is each field as printed and what open-climate.ai made of it.

About this factor
From Boverket
What it is
The GWP-GHG (A1-A3) are valid for non-coated stone wool. The GWP may varies between 0.6-1.6 kg CO₂e/kg. The average data values are based on market share and EPDs from the following countries (in order of assumed market share): Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Finland and Norway. What it includes
Stone wool is produced either in an electric furnace or, more commonly, in a cupola furnace. The process also involves the use of additional energy sources which, together with the primary raw materials, contribute to the GWP. The binder content is typically about 5 to 10%. Minor variations in density for the same lambda value exist between different manufacturers, but the density and lambda values provided here are representative of the products used on the market.Where it applies
Stone wool is primarily used as thermal insulation, and is sometimes also used for sound insulation or for a combination of both functions. This type of stone wool product is intended for use in a protected environment.
