About this factor

Publisher's description

This data set has been modeled according to the European Standard EN 15804+A2 for Sustainable Building. Results are depicted in modules that allow the structured expression of results over the entire life cycle.

Included processes

The data set includes the production of the photovoltaic systems based on the global average market mix of installed photovoltaic technologies: monocrystalline cells 42%, polycrystalline cells 47%, cadmium telluride cells (CdTe) 7% and copper-indium-gallium-diselenide cells 4% . The manufacturing and operation of the system are taken into account. The service life of the panels is modeled at 20 years. The following average efficiencies per technology are used: monocrystalline cells 18%, polycrystalline cells 16%, cadmium telluride (CdTe) 17%, copper-indium-gallium-diselenide 15%. The system efficiency is taken into account at 75% for pitched roof installation and 80% for floor installation. The proportion of pitched roof installation is 90%.

Applicability

Electrical energy is required for the operation of various technical systems and installations in the building context.
